Paul Mellia , a short biography:
Paul Mellia has spent the last 30 years creating original artwork in a style
admired by all who have collected his work. Staying faithful to the original characteristics
of his subjects, Paul adds a 3- dimensional effect to the finished artwork that makes the work individual and very special.
Paul was commissioned to create a life size hoarding to surround a prestigious development in the docklands in 1989. This mural was unveiled by the then arts minister Richard Luce. In 1991 The Trocadero in London commissioned Paul to create 58 robot images (1.8m x 1.2) on aluminium sheet that was voted best retail artwork for that year.
Paul studied at the Southend College of art and graduated with honours in design,
Art and Production in 1976 .
Paul then spent a number of years in the USA working as an artist with private commissions for the likes of Lisa Marie Presley, Tommy Lee, Seal and many other A list celebrities, His exhibition of popular art culture sold out within 2 weeks in the sunset boulevard gallery, Hollywood.

Paul is the first and only artist allowed to create Thomas the tank engine and friends in the interruptive style to celebrate the 60th anniversary of rev W.H. Audrey’s well loved characters.
New Projects
46664 Nelson Mandela Foundation: Paul has created a special one of canvas of the South African A1 Grand Prix car embossed with the image of Mr Mandela’s 46664 logo.
This picture was auctioned at the Durban race and the proceeds donated to the foundation. Paul is honored to be associated with and able to make a contribution to a worthy cause.
Great Britain A1GP Car: Paul is currently creating two paintings for the Great Britain A1 Grand prix Team. He has donated them to the team to raise funds on the demelza house children’s hospice. These pictures will be a part of the auction at the A1GP flying finale charity ball at brands hatch organised by demeiza house and at team gbr.
